ABOUT WHITNEY

Whitney was born and raised in Kansas City, and has lived in Johnson County, Kansas since 2009.

 

She has been involved in local civic engagement roles since 2004. As an active member of Climate Action KC, Whitney participates in regional events with stakeholders from the public as well as elected officials to help make the Kansas City area as resilient as it can be in the face of climate change. Past civic roles include ReDiscover Mental Health Board, The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City, and she is a graduate of Leadership NEJC (Northeast Johnson County Chamber).

 

She has an executive M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and her B.A. from Marquette University in International Affairs and Spanish. 

 

Whitney has spent the last 19 years in Healthcare IT consulting and sales supporting population health initiatives for communities across the U.S.  Right now her focus is improving the patient care process so that patients receive high-quality care at the right time from their providers. 

Whitney is a master naturalist and spends much of her free time participating in conservation activities like river clean-ups, water quality testing and classroom education, bird & bee census events, native prairie restoration & seed collecting/ distribution activities in the Kansas City area.
